Garden Consultations

What is a Garden Consultation?

A garden consultation is a 60-minute in-person visit with the Breezy Garden Co team. The consultation is intended for us to get a sense of your space, answer your most pressing gardening questions, and clarify this year’s gardening goals and projects.

This is a great, low-commitment opportunity to work with us and see what it’s like to have a gardening coach in your corner!

Garden consultations begin at just $125 for Lancaster County locations. An additional travel fee is added if you live in another county.

Is a Consultation for You?

When you think about your garden are you…

  • Overwhelmed by all the information on the internet, not knowing what is or isn’t applicable to your own garden

  • Intimidated by how much work it could be to make the garden of your dreams a reality

  • Afraid to invest in plants you might kill trying to grow your garden

  • Wishing someone could take all your jumbled ideas and just tell you what to do first

If any of these sound like you, then a garden consultation is the perfect opportunity to get personalized advice from experienced gardening professionals. Together, we’ll get you past some of the hurdles making you hesitant to start on your garden projects and provide an action plan that’s easy to achieve this year.

What to Expect

Each garden consultation is tailored to meet you where you are on your gardening journey—whether you are just starting out, or you’ve been working in the garden for a couple of years.

We’ll begin the consultation with a walk around you property to gain an overall understanding of your vision for the space and what you’re working with in terms of growing conditions. Together, we’ll clarify how you currently use the space, map existing gardens and structures, and identify spaces ideal for growing vegetables and ecological native gardens.

During this time, you’ll get to share what has worked and not worked for you on your gardening journey so far and share what a successful garden means to you. While we’re walking through the space, we can troubleshoot areas you’ve struggled with, go into detail about plants best suited to your site, and create garden goals that are achievable within a manageable time frame.

No matter what path your garden consultation takes us, you’ll leave with fresh ideas and quick wins you can complete right away to get the positive momentum going!

After the Consultation

We know a garden consultation can be exciting and inspirational, but it’s also a lot of information all at once! We make sure you get the most out of your consultation by providing a comprehensive report after the consultation is over.

The report includes:

  • Explanations of your unique site conditions (such as sun conditions, soil, and wind)

  • A summary of your gardening goals and an actionable lists of tasks you can do to achieve them

  • Expanded answers to the questions that came up during the consultations

  • Recommended plant lists and other helpful resources

  • Opportunities to continue collaborating with Breezy Garden Co to achieve your garden goals

A garden consultation is the foundation from which your 2026 gardening goals begin. From here, you are well-equipped to tackle your garden yourself, but if you would like additional support to do the heavy lifting or keep your projects on track, after the consultation is when we’ll explore those options together!

  • "My consultation appointment with Breezy Garden Co. was so worth it!"

Christina arrived at the planned time completely prepared with everything she could find about my yard beforehand. We went over the areas that I wanted to change and she asked a lot of clarifying questions that helped me to figure out what I want from my garden. After going over the front yard, she had suggestions prepared for my back and side yard. This includes a lattice wall to add to my back porch and different plants that aid in privacy for my outdoor spaces. Christina then showed me different plants that would work best in my yard when considering the amount of sun. The in person consultation was followed up by an extensive report that included suggested timelines, plants and where to purchase them, tools that I may need, and maps of the potential garden bed areas.

I would recommend Breezy Garden Co. to anyone looking to recreate their yard in a way that better suits their needs. My husband and I recently purchased our property and had no idea where to start. The consultation with Breezy Garden Co. has been a wonderful guide as we head into spring and prepare our yard for the year.

  • "From the first consultation, Breezy Garden Co has been a joy to work with!"

I knew I wanted to improve our yard but wasn’t sure where to start or how much to take on. Having thoughtful conversation with these experts helped us to frame a plan and find a starting point.

  • "Working with Christina and John of Breezy Garden Co completely changed how we see our outdoor spaces."

We came to the consultation with some vague ideas of what we'd like to do, and they were able to help us visualize our thoughts in more concrete images. From lofty goals of a pond to attract wildlife to the logistics of sustainable weed control, their knowledge and support will help us find and maintain momentum.

The written report that followed blew our minds! It broke down every area we discussed into actionable steps and tasks to jump on right away. The best part is where they broke down large projects into bite-sized weekend-warrior type plans that feel easy to accomplish. There are even lists of resources, like native plant ideas and where to source them. Best of all, we can decide how much or how little help we need from them moving forward.

They'll be on standby for guidance or actually be on site to lend a hand! We can't believe what an inspiring experience it has been to work with Breezy Garden Co!
